This blog saw a marked lack of posting in 2012. The last entry was in March, and was for a magazine article published in 2011. This is not because of a lack of work, but rather the opposite. The year threw up a whole host of projects, from redesigning the magazines and websites at Cross Country, to starting work on a book editing project. Plus it was the first year in a new flat, so lots of energy was devoted to that.
I also travelled a fair bit, and was lucky enough to get out to France a few times for work, as well as work trips to China for an international aviation conference (plus some flying) and Sikkim in India, for a paragliding festival. The photo here is of me on a trekking and flying trip in Western Sikkim after that festival in early November 2012 – the mountain behind is the world's third highest, Kanchenjunga. The photographer was India Today photographer Parven Singh (they will feature the trip in the March travel special issue).
Rather than try to catch up here, I'm just going to resolve to try to be a bit more diligent about posting things, including blogging rather than simply linking to articles etc. Best laid plans etc, but that's the idea. Happy New Year!
